                                    Road: A1 - Take the A1 to Stamford, and then exit at the junction with the A606 and head towards Oakham. When you reach Barnsdale, turn left towards the Rutland Water north shore car park. Continue across the roundabout down the hill to the bed and breakfast. +

                                    The view is across Rutland Water to Hambleton Ridge, used in a long shot of the UNIT convoy travelling along the road. The film crew made use of a crane to achieve the higher angle across the reservoir.

                                    Castle Cement Quarry (Battlefield). Road: Head back up to the main road, then turn right towards Stamford. When you reach the A1, join it heading south (towards London) and then exit at the next junction with the A6121 (Stamford/Ketton). Head southwest towards Ketton and the works are very visible from the road! Head past the works and then turn right onto a road that takes you up to the works entrance. Parking roadside

                                    Wothorpe Towers (Battlefield). Road: Head back up to the main road, then turn right towards Stamford. When you reach the A1, join it heading south (towards London) and then exit two junctions later with the A43. Turn right and then left onto a side road which leads to a nursery and some houses.
