                                    Hambleton, Rutland, Leicestershire

Hambleton Old Hall is one of the only remaining buildings left from the original village of Middle Hambleton (lost when Rutland Water was created). During the Civil War it was home to the Parliamentarian High Sheriff of Rutland, Abel Barker. It is a privately owned house (and not a hotel as seen in Battlefield!).

                                    How to get here:

                                    »

Road: A1 - Take the A1 to Stamford, and then exit at the junction with the A606 and head towards Oakham. Turn left onto the road to Hambleton, and then follow this into the village. Turn right past the church and head down the road until you reach the private road at the end. +
